Perfect Pairings - Thursday, May 12Who: 100 of Hawaii's movers and shakers
What: An upscale and intimate evening of fine wine and food in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters Hawaii. The event will include custom menu creations from Chef Alfred of Oahu County Club with wine pairings carefully chosen and narrated by Master Sommerlier Patrick Okubo. Held in a different location each year (this year we’ll be at the beautiful Oahu Country Club), Perfect Pairings is becoming a vino-culinary must-do. Between sips, enjoy a silent auction featuring unique packages, items and experiences you won’t find anywhere else. When: Thursday, May 12; 5:30pm - 8:30pm Where: Oahu County Club (150 County Club Road) Why: The third annual Perfect Pairings is a much-anticipated event! Join us to gather for a mouthwatering, mind-expanding evening of fine food and rare wines, perfectly paired and shared by Master Sommelier Patrick Okubo. A hallmark of Perfect Pairings is the event’s smaller, more private feel; of course this means it will sell out so please reserve your sponsorship or individual tickets today. Disco Bowl for Kids' Sake - Saturday, September 10 & 17
Who: Over 1500 bowlers and 60 sponsors
What: Bowl For Kids’ Sake is our signature annual fundraiser. This year the theme is "disco." No bowling skills are required: this two-hour bowling party includes food, prizes, t-shirts, a photo booth, celebrity MCs, grab bag giveaways, and awards for team spirit and best dressed. Our goal is to raise $300,000 through sponsorships and individual fundraising. When: Saturday, September 10 & Saturday, September 17. Teams may choose from the following bowling shifts on a first-come-first serve basis: 9am - 11:30am; 12pm - 2:30pm; 3pm - 5:30pm; 6pm - 8:30pm; 9pm - 11:30pm. Why: Money raised at the Bowl for Kids' Sake accounts for roughly 1/3 of our operating budget. Without this event we could not continue to change the lives of more than 1500 children and mentors each year. Plus, it's a ton of fun! Some of our sponsors and bowlers have been participating in this event for 30 years. How: Sponsorship starts at $1,500 for one lane of 6 bowler/fundraisers. Companies cover the entire cost of sponsorship or involve employees in fundraising...or do a combination of both. Bowlers set up personal fundraising pages (website coming soon) and encourage their friends and family to support their efforts to "bowl for kids' sake!" |
